Litter and Dog Fouling Complaints
It is regrettable to inform that the Commissioners are in receipt of two reports, one in regard to littering and one in regard to dog fouling. The first report from a resident is in regard to cigarette packet litter being dropped on a regular basis on the road out of Maughold Village down towards Booilushag.
The second report concerns dog fouling on the coastway path around the Gob ny Rona headland at Port Lewaigue. The area was cleaned up by the Commissioners following the report.
The warden will be monitoring these areas closely and making efforts to ensure the poor behaviour of those concerned is curtailed.
Information in regard to these matters can be reported via this website or via 422148.
IRIS Proposals Being Readied For Presentation
The Commissioners have received word from the Drainage Division that the plans for the IRIS facilities in Maughold at Port Lewaigue, Corony, Glen Mona, Maughold Village and Port Mooar are in the final stages of preparation.
It is anticipated that these will be presented to the public at a location in Maughold during July. Details will be released on this site and in the press as soon as a date is known.
The Three Legs of Barrule!
Have you seen the Three Legs of Man symbol on the slopes of Barrule?
The Triskelion has once again become a little bit of a talking point amongst locals and those passing through the Parish.
It is easily seen from Glen Mona and higher areas around Rhenab. Cashtal Yn Ard is also an excellent vantage point.
Thanks to Members of the Glen Mona Social Club for providing such a dramatic spectacle!
