  Refuse Collection...
...took place this morning (Wednesday 22nd Dec). The vast majority of properties have now been serviced, however, there were several areas that were deemed too dangerous to access due to the level of ice and steep gradients. If your wheelie bin was not emptied, please manage your waste carfully and place any additional black bags next to your bin next Sunday night.
The weather forecasts suggest a thaw over the weekend, which will hopefully result in a full refuse collection taking place next week, w/c 27th December.

  Refuse Collection WC 20.12.10
It was deemed unsafe for the refuse collection vehicle to undertake the round this morning (Monday). A few properties in the Ballaglass/Dreemskerry area were serviced during a 'recce' in a smaller vehicle this afternoon. It is hoped that the round can be undertaken later on Tuesday. However, the likelihood of ice may result in a further postponement. The Commissioners apologise for any inconvenience, but will issue an update as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please do not leave 'gifts' for the recycling crew as we are receiving reports that items that were very kindly left with the bins have disappeared. It is assumed that these have been taken by a third party. The police have been informed. Please report any similar incidents to the clerk or Ramsey Police.
