Fly Tipping in Dreemskerry Plantation
A large quantity of bags have had to be recovered from a plantation along the Dreemskerry Road, just opposite the entrance to the quarry. The bags were filled with plastic bottles, milk cartons, cans and bottles, as well as snack and general refreshment packaging. The cost of clearance is borne by Maughold ratepayers so any information about the culprits would be welcomed by the Commissioners Warden on 422148 or by Ramsey Police on 812234.

Green Gardening Initiative For the New Year
The Commissioners recommend sourcing compost from on-island sources where possible. In addition to the excellent composts avaialble at Ballaneven in St Johns, Greeba Farm is now offering 'spent mushroom compost' that is ideal as a surface mulch. Click here for further details. ¶ 12:35
