New Northern Civic Amenity Site Proposals go on dIsplay
Proposals for the new Civic Amenity Site at Balladoole will be on display this Friday and Saturday (26th and 27th February) at Ramsey Town Hall between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm each day. The Commissioners are supportive of the proposals as the new site will provide much improved reuse and recycle options, and, very importantly, the location of the facility makes it far more accessible for Maughold residents.
If you can't make the display please contact the clerk for further information and a brochure on the proposals.
The Maughold ratepayer will be contributing qround 10.5k to the running of the Ballacallow site next year and will be encouraging government to bring the new facility to fruition at the earliest opportunity.
The display also includes details of the proposed sewage treatment plant that will deal with sewage from Ramsey and Andreas. This is important for the Maughold coastline which is periodically blighted by the current outfall at Ramsey.
The Drainage Division of DOT advise the Commissioners that it is intended that their proposals for new sewage treatment facilities at Port Lewaigue, Port Mooar, Maughold Village, Corony and Glen Mona will be announced to the public in the next weeks. The Commissioners already have details of the proposals which can be viewed by arrangement with the clerk.
