  Government Tipping Charges Rise by 14%.

The Government has announced that the cost of tipping household waste at the Energy from Waste Plant is to rise by 14%, from £30.74 to £35.00. The new charge will also have implications on the cost of running the Northern Civic Amenity Site at Bride which the Northern Local Authorities Fund.The Commissioners are currently completing their estimates for Year 12/13 and will set the rate for that period in the next few weeks.

  MSC Memorial Walk Cancelled 20.11.11
The Remembrance walk to the memorial on Barrule will not go ahead due to the low mist. No decision has been made on an alternative date.
 
  Decision on MSC's Remembrance Walk at 1.00 pm Today (Sunday 20th November)
Today's walk to the War Memorial on Barrule may have to be postponed due to the low mist that is currently down. A decision will be posted here at 1.00 pm - or call 861039 or 422148. The walk was due to commence at 2.15 from the Corony.

  November the 11th - Two Minutes Silence
Members of the Public have been requested to observe the two minutes silence which takes place this Friday 11th of November at 11.00 am. Drivers of vehicles are asked to park safely and switch off their engines during the period of remembrance.
 
  A15 Church Road closure 7th - 14th November
Church Road will be closed from its junction with the A2 to Port e Vullen until the 14th of Novemeber for resurfacing works. Access to Maughold Village is available via Jack's Lane.
