Commissioners to install Speed Indicator Signs in Glen Mona
The Commissioners are currently sourcing two Speed Indicator Signs to assist in calming traffic on the A2 in Glen Mona. The area between the signs will encompass, Dhoon School, Glen Mona and the Corony entrance and Bus stops.
The DOI took back the signs the Commissioners used to regularly place in these locations eighteen months ago as part of a decision to centralise organisation of their placement. In this time they have not been installed in Glen Mona until the Commissioners pushed for their placement during this year's TT festival.
Research into their use in the Glen Mona location supports the high level of effectiveness they have in calming traffic through the village.
