Anniversary of the North Barrule Air Crash Today - 23rd April
It's 70 years since the American Flying Fortress came down close to the summit of North Barrule on the 23rd of May 1945 with the loss of 31 airmen. Look up from the A2 today and you'll see the site marked by American Flag at the site, placed by the Manx Aviation Preservation Society. The crash was discussed towards the end of 'Countryside' on Manx Radio this week. Listen here.
