Home Composting is a Crucial Factor...
in helping us to keep the rates as low as possible. The waste evaluations of our wheelie bin contents undertaken by the DLGE in recent years suggest that many items appearing in our wheelie bins could be composted and reused in our gardens and vegetable patches.
The Commissioners are aware that more is composted in Maughold than in other areas, but would encourage everyone to become involved and set up a compost bin in their garden.
