Minister Views Condition of U92 Maughold Mountain Road at First Hand The DoI Minister, Hon. Phil Gawne MHK, has completed a visit to view the path from the Glen Mona over the Maughold uplands to the Clarum. The Minister was accompanied by Departmental Officers, including Chief Executive, Mr Ian Thompson. The Commissioners have pressed for action to maintain the path and moorland more effectively as exceptionally heavy damage has been caused over recent years; largely due to the increase in its use by off road motorcyclists. The Commissioners will continue to press government for action to maintain the path effectively, and are particularly grateful to the Minister and the Departmental officers for taking the time to accomplish the visit to view the damage at first hand.  ¶ 19:11
