Future of Dhoon Church, Hall and Field being Considered

The beginning of a procedure to 'close' the Dhoon Church has been announced on the newly launched 'Kirk Maughold' Facebook page. The statement issued can be read by clicking here or on the Church's Facebook page itself (see Community and Club page for further details of how to access their site).
The statement indicates that a public meeting will be held shortly and advises that the Church Authorities are considering the "disposal of the hall and adjoining field". The Commissioners have recently written to the Church Authorities requesting a meeting to discuss preserving and developing the facilities beside the church for the benefit of the community.
