Dhoon School Daffodil Winners!
The children of the Dhoon School responded magnificently to the recently judged Daffodil Competition organised as a joint venture by the School and the Commissioners. The number
and quality of daffodils was superb.
Prizes were awarded in two categories, 'Best Daffodil' and 'Best Decorated Pot' in both Infant and Junior Sections. Judging was undertaken by Mrs Quellin of Dreemskerry and Mrs Jordan of Ballasholague. Congratulations to the winners: Fflur, Sarah, Chloe, Patrick, Holly, James, Isabella, Neil, Ella, Sophie, Philip, and Maddie! These all received large chocolate eggs from Mrs Hazel Lace CP, Chairman of Maughold Parish Commissioners, Mrs Jordan and Mrs Quellin. All the schoolchildren received a creme egg for producing such an excellent display! The competition will run again in the autumn when the Commissioners will assist the children in potting their bulbs.
