Glen Mona Traffic Issues - Appeal to Drivers
The Commissioners have met with officers from the Department of Infrastructure in regard to the speed of traffic as it passes through Glen Mona. Mr Cowley has obtained permission from the Department to relocate our speed indicator sign to a more effective location on the southern entrance opposite the hotel. The function of the signs used in the parish are advisory, to prompt motorists to think of their speed as they enter residential areas.
The Commissioners would like to remind all those driving through Glen Mona that there are often pedestrians crossing the road (children with parents accessing the Dhoon School/youth club; as well as residents attempting to access their vehicles - often with small children.
Safe driving at an appropriate speed is essential when you are in this residential area.
