Dhoon School - Daffodil Competition Judging
The Commissioners were highly impressed by the standard and number of daffodils entered into this year's competition. The daffodil pots were beautifully decorated once again with designs based on many themes including viking long ships, hot-air balloons and even a crane! The children participated with their usual blend of gusto and good manners, and the winners received edible prizes. The competition was judged by the school's caretaker, Mr Quayle, by the Chair of the Commissioners, Mrs Stephens, and her fellow Commissioner, Mr Moughtin. The judges had a wonderful, though difficult time, and are already looking forward to the autumn when they will be in school to pot the daffodils for the competition in 2013. Some of this year's entries are pictured here.
